- The World Broadcasters Meeting was a very useful and constructive gathering for us, and we believe also for the broadcasters, says Odd Kaldefoss, Executive Project Manager of NRK's Host Broadcaster planning group.

Venue Tour
The Host Broadcaster was inviting to the World Broadcasters Meeting in cooperation with the Local Organising Committee, Ski-VM 2011.
The focus of the meeting was to provide broadcasters with comprehensive and relevant information regarding the WSC 2011 operations.
An important item on the agenda was a bus tour to survey the new Holmenkollen national arena. Also, the first versions of the Broadcasters Rate Card and Order Form were introduced.
The plenary meeting was held at the Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel in central Oslo. The first day concluded with a guided tour and dinner at Oslo's spectacular new Opera House.
Delegations
Following invitation sent out in January, about 35 RTV representatives signed up for the event. Delegations attending represented Germany (ARD, ZDF, MDR), Austria (ORF), RAI (Italy), Sweden (SVT), Finland (YLE) as well as NRK in its capacity of national broadcaster.
Participants also included representatives from the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and its commercial partner Tridem Sports, as well as the International Ski Federation (FIS).
In total, around 75 guests and host representatives attended the World Broadcaster Meeting on 14 and 15 April.

Unilateral Meetings
Following the plenary meeting, most of the broadcaster delegations had separate meetings with NRK Host Broadcaster and the Local Organizing Committee to discuss their unilateral operations at the 2011 WSC.
Topics included requirements for IBC and compound space, commentary positions, camera positions and studio platforms in addition to logistic matters such as accommodation and transport requirements.
