The local organising committee, the city of Oslo and NRK Host Broadcaster were brought together to present every detail for the event for the FIS top management.
- There is no doubt that you are on the right track. Continue this way and we will have a perfect World Championships, said FIS President Gian Franco Kasper as he concluded the full-day session in Oslo City Hall 7 October.
Likewise, FIS Secretary Sarah Lewis was praising the hosts for the thorough presentation of the plans for next year's championships.
- I admire the work you have done today. This was a demonstration of the fantastic job you will deliver, said Sarah Lewis.
Venue survey
Kasper and Lewis headed a delegation of 16 persons from FIS, who did a thourough survey of the Holmenkollen arena on Wednesday, 6 October.
On Thursday, 139 days before the WSC opening ceremony, the Governing Mayor of Oslo, Stian Berger Røsland, hosted an eight-hour long summit in the City Hall.
Present were also FIS’ partners from EBU and Tridem as well as study groups from future organisers in Val di Fiemme and Falun.
Together, the Local Organising Committee, the City of Oslo and NRK Host Broadcaster examined every aspect of the FIS Nordic World Championships, from venue construction and infrastructure to sports organisation, finance, security, media services and broadcast operations.

Odd Kaldefoss, Host Broadcaster Executive Project Manager, presented the philosophy of NRK's coverage and the status of rights holders' bookings and IBC construction. Also, he presented the first drafts of the Host Broadcaster on-screen graphics, which will be discussed further with the FIS in the time to come.

Kaldefoss was succeeded by Frøydis Frostmo Faraj, NRK Sports Project Manager, who introduced the plans for NRK's national coverage during the 2011 championships.
